How It Works
- Tap the truck icon in the app to go online and start receiving orders.
- When a customer requests service, the job appears to all nearby drivers. The first to accept sees the customer’s address and can use the built-in map for directions.
- Upon arrival, call the customer to notify them you're outside and ready for pickup.
- Separate comforters from regular laundry. Weigh each bag using an approved scale and tag them with official DOME Laundry tags. Scan and enter each tag and weight into the system.
- Click “Save” after entering all bags. Choose to make another pickup or drop off at a laundromat. Remember: you’re paid by weight, not mileage.
- Rate your customer interaction. Ratings of 3 stars or below require a brief explanation.
- If dropping off, select a nearby laundromat and use the map for directions. The laundromat will scan and verify all tags and weights.
- Rate the laundromat after drop-off. Again, low ratings require an explanation.
- You can then choose to continue pickups or go offline to end your day.
- The system is community-policed. Your professionalism affects your rating and contractor status.
- Cancellations after viewing customer info or discriminatory behavior will result in termination.
- Laundry bags and tags are available for free via franchise offices or customer service.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have valid vehicle registration
- Must have minimum state insurance coverage
- Must lift 35 lbs unassisted
- Must pass a background check
- Must own a smartphone (Android or iPhone)
Insurance
DOME Laundry provides supplemental insurance for contractors using their own vehicles. Personal insurance is required but may not apply in all situations.
Offline
Before going online, your personal insurance is primary. Any incidents are handled through your own coverage.
Online but before accepting a job
DOME provides third-party liability coverage if your personal insurance doesn’t apply.
En route to/from jobs and between pickup/drop-off
Additional coverage applies during active service windows.
Third-party liability insurance
Covers bodily injury and property damage to others in a covered accident.
Uninsured/Underinsured motorist insurance
Protects you and your passengers if another driver lacks sufficient coverage or in hit-and-run cases.
Contingent collision & comprehensive insurance
If you carry full coverage, DOME provides protection up to actual cash value with a $1,000 deductible.
Safety Conduct

- Rate customers fairly to flag aggressive behavior
